Artist Statement:

Lately, I’ve taken a deep dive into poetry and prose, where so much visual imagery, memory, and emotion are stirred for me. This has become fruitful territory for my artwork. As I enter into a poet’s frame of mind, I find myself more present to our phenomenal world, in all of its delicacy, illusiveness, immediacy, and dimension.

I’ve become keenly interested in that which we sense, as well as that which we see – the worlds of of embodied experience, of waking dreams, of quiet moments, of the ineffable.

Incorporating a mix of media – paint, collage, monotype, hand-made paper – each work series is a fresh path of discovery.
